Several weeks ago my class read a story about Ben Hall. His story was a Ballad Poem. After learning more about Ballad Poems our teacher told my class to do one ourselves. Our Ballad Poem had to include different types of figurative languages. What I found hard was making my sentences flow with the rhymes. What I found really exciting was making my my poem about Kpop. I will work on making my poem make more sense next time. (Kpop=Korean Pop)
Just Kpop, I Love it
Just Kpop, I Love it
Eyes glued on the phone, fingers swiping up and down
Before that happened she was on a chair with a crown
“Kpop” she wondered with a mesmerizing stare
Natalie discovered something from a glare
Yet right now her mighty pillow was pulling her hair
Infinite was the name, how unique she said
Searching videos and shows what she knew spread
Step, slide, lie the door waved its body
Shut her eyes pretending like it’s not naughty
Back to work, eat and watch with some sushi
Lovelyz, Got7 and several more
But she had to leave the country and explore
She felt excited to meet new people
Natalie knew she would never feel dull
Oops too much Kpop, for now it’s illegal
School is the place where she knew it’s famous
Asking around like a chatterbox, yet their response were so brainless
All alone and frustrated sulking on one side
Natalie never thought that she had cried
Strategy failed; it was to hypnotise
Months had passed now she knows what to do
Watch Kdrama because it’s something new
Now Natalie nailed knowing numerous names
Plus she can explain how they not look the same
In the end two girls came and that’s how Kpop got its fame
